Gerald Binns

William Gerald Binns, 87, of Mabelvale, Arkansas, celebrated entry into heaven Tuesday, September 30, 2014. He was born November 22, 1926, in Bastrop, Louisiana, to the late Garland Binns and Vera Bledsoe Bailey. Brothers GW Binns and family of Little Rock and Mark Binns and Family of Star City; Bill Bailey and family of Arlington, Texas; He was also preceded in death by his sons, Jerry Lynn and Jon Carson Binns. Mr. Binns is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Irene Burr Binns; his daughter, Jan Carla Hill and husband, Don Guillory; grandchildren, Johnny Binns, Justin Hill (J 1), Joshua Hill (J 2) and wife Becky; Janna Contorno (J 3) and husband Tony; Jereme Hill (J 4) and wife, Myranda; Jonathan Hill (J 5) and wife Jamie; Jessica Balance (J 6) and husband Anthony; 7 ½ great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren. He was a United States Navy Veteran of World War II. He was an active member of the Lions club and a faithful member of the Geyer Springs Baptist Church. He was owner and operator of Grime Fighters, Inc., for over 30 years. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Hospice of Saline County, Carelink or the Wounded Warriors. The family held a graveside service on Saturday, October 4, 2014, at Pine Crest Memorial Park.
