

Gordon Ellis Cook, 94, of Little Rock, passed away March 1, 2025. He was born April 1, 1930 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to the late James Herman Cook and Ruth E. Lancaster. In addition to his parents, Gordon was preceded in death by his wife, Colleen Cook of Russellville, Arkansas; brothers, John H. of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, James M. of Brinkley, Arkansas, and William R. Cook of Mena, Arkansas; and sisters, Geneva Wrights and Cravens Hogue, both of Muskogee, Oklahoma.
Gordon served in the United States Marine Corps from April 1, 1948 to March 31, 1953, serving in Korea from September 15, 1950 to September 9, 1951 with the first Marine Division during the Korean War.
Gordon graduated from Little Rock High School in 1948, Little Rock Junior College in 1957, and Little Rock University in 1960. He was retired from the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad Company and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas.
He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Ann Ramsey of Benton, Arkansas; grandchildren, Kimberly Ann McIntyre of Little Rock, Arkansas, Kenneth Dale Yenner of Benton, Arkansas, and Kristy Diane (Scott) Evans of Prattsville, Arkansas; 10 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 2:30 p.m.., Saturday, March 15, 2025 with a memorial gathering one hour prior to the service, both at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Funeral Home.
