G.C. was born on May 19, 1935 in Barnsville, Georgia to Effie and Robert Watts. G.C. was a member of the United States Air Force and served in the Korean War. While stationed in Memphis, Tennessee, he met a dazzling young nursing student, Concetta Marie Messina Watts, who he married in 1958 and built a beautiful life. They moved to Salina, Kansas with their young family before relocating to Little Rock, Arkansas. G.C. worked for the Cotton Belt Railroad for over twenty-five years before retiring. G.C. enjoyed reading the newspaper every morning while listening to old country music, tinkering on the computer, walking on his treadmill, drinking coffee at 2:00pm followed by taking his daily 4:00pm shower, drinking Carlo Rossi wine, cooking meatballs and sauce, and spending time with his children, and being “PawPaw” to his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Marie. Together they provided faith and love to their two children: daughter, Alisa Ann Kosmitis (Dr. Kimon) and Michael Joseph Watts (Robin). He is survived by his five grandchildren who he loved dearly: Kristen Kosmitis Rolle (Zach), Alexandra Kosmitis Bowen (Wade), Michael Chad Watts (Morgan), Phillip Andrew Kosmitis (Jennifer), and Adam Joseph Watts (Candace). He is survived by four great-grandchildren: Andrew Stephen Rolle, Everett Baker Kosmitis, Constantina Concetta Bowen, Phillip Andrew Kosmitis, Jr., and one great grandson due in October, Quinten James Watts. He is also preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Robert Watts, Gilbert Watts, Dorothy Watts, and Virginia Watts. Also left to cherish his memory are a host of other beloved family members, including his wife Nancy Watts.
