Helen Weber

HELEN MARIE WEBER passed away on March 31, 2016. She was born on October 2, 1929 to Henry & Mary Wewers of Jonesboro, Arkansas. Her husband of 46 years, Joe Weber, Jr. preceded her in death. Helen is survived by her brother, Tommy Wewers of Jonesboro, daughter, Bernadette (Pat) and sons, Raymond (Paul), Philip (Barbara), Patrick (Jackie), Rodney, Paul (Lana), Joseph (Kim), Edward (Angie) and James (Emily). She is also survived by ten grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and her sister-in-law Betty Jean Findley. Helen was a member of Saint Edward’s Catholic Church for sixty-nine years. She was a member of the Saint Edward’s Christian Mothers’ Sodality and the Catholic Daughters of America. She enjoyed dancing and was a member of the Maverick Mixers and the Twirling Lariats square dance clubs, the Arkansas Country Dance Society and the German American Club where she got to dance the polka. She also rode bicycles with her family and was a founding member of the Arkansas Bicycle Club. Viewing will be at 6:00 PM on Monday, April 4 at Griffin, Leggett, Healey & Roth Funeral Home in Little Rock. The viewing will be followed by a rosary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Edward’s Catholic Church at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 5. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery immediately following the Mass. A meal will be provided in Saint Edward’s cafeteria after the burial. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Edward’s Catholic Church in honor of the Christian Mothers’ Sodality.
