Herbert "Butch" Harris was born August 18, 1940 in Memphis, Tenn. He passed away Sept. 20, 2014 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Louise Harris, a brother Clarke, and a son, Ricky. He is survived by his wife, Nora Harris; three children, Ronnie Lynn, Debbie, and Melissa; six grandchildren, Kristy, Ronnie Wayne, Kenneth, Angela, Trista and Sheena; and 11 great grandchildren. Mr. Harris shared a wonderful happy marriage with Nora for 46 years. He retired from the maintenance department at St. Vincent's Hospital after 30 years of service and he was a member of Mabelvale Church of Christ. Funeral will be 3:00pm, Wednesday, September 24, 2014, in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00pm, Tuesday at the funeral home.
