OBITUARY
James "Jimmy" Pearson Erion III
April 12, 1957 – February 8, 2021
James Pearson Erion III, fondly known as Jimmy, passed away in his home surrounded by loved ones on Monday February 8th 2021 in Maumelle, Arkansas after a lengthy battle with illness. He was born April 12th 1957 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Frances and James P. Erion Jr. and one half-sister Kalah Shindewolf. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 38 years, Cathryn “Kitty” Erion, his son James Pearson (Emily) Erion IV, two grandsons Tyler and Owen Erion, his brother Doug (Debbie) Erion, and half-sister Tonya Beaudet, and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones.
He and his brother Doug shared many special childhood memories. His face would always light up with a mischievous grin when Doug shared a story from their youth- they were thick as thieves. Jimmy graduated from Hall High School in 1975. Shortly after, he met the love of his life in the dairy aisle of Kroger, where he worked at the time. They married three years later on June 26th 1982.A few years later came his one and only son, Pearson, who was his pride and joy.
To say he was an avid Razorback fan is an understatement. He never missed a Razorback game, whether on TV or just the radio. But his favorite sports player of all was Pearson. He never missed a little league game or any event in Pearson’s life for that matter.
He loved fishing and spending time at the lake with his brother. He had recently retired from RGA after 20+ years and was enjoying his extra time in his garage aka “Jimmy and Fred’s Man Cave” which he shared with Fred Wright, his friend and neighbor of 33 years, and other special friends. He loved to cook and especially loved cooking his family Sunday dinner.
Kitty was his one true love. His grandsons were the apples of his eyes and Pearson was the light of his life. Jimmy never spoke ill of anyone. He was kind and generous to everyone he met. His goodness will always be remembered and carried on by all those he loved.
Jimmy was always a believer of Christ but recently joined the Catholic Church and was baptized. He found great joy in attending Mass with his wife. While his family is left with the gaping hole his passing leaves, they rejoice knowing he is with his Lord and Savior. Go Hogs. Woo Pig.
Services will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary on Saturday, February 13th. The Rosary will be from 12:00pm-12:30pm followed by Visitation from 12:30pm-1:30pm and funeral Mass from 1:30pm-2:30pm. Private Burial will be at a later date.

For Jimbo’s family. Jimbo, as I knew him, was more like a brother to me than a cousin. When we were young, I spent many hours playing with him and his brother, Doug. Jimbo and Doug’s father, was the apple of my mother’s eye (her brother), whom we lovingly called “Brother”, so it was only right that we should spend every holiday and lots of other times together. My mother had so many pictures of all of us together. My favorite was a picture of Jimbo in a cowboy outfit and one of those little horsey heads on a stick. He might have been 3 years old. My love for this family knows no bounds. You were well loved Jimbo. This news took my breath away. The streets of heaven are too crowded with angels. See you in the stars, Jimbo.

Dear Miss Kitty,
Harry and I are so sad to hear the news of Jimmy’s passing. Harry and Jimmy immediately clicked and Harry is so happy Hallie bought her home right next to y’all. If she hadn’t he never would have met him! We also know how much y’all have loved our kids and that means so much.
He is going to miss him and their phone calls during the Razorback games but, we both believe Jimmy was involved in the Razorbacks vs. Kentucky Win at Kentucky last night.
Harry has lots of memories in their almost 6 year friendship. These will have to carry him through until they meet again.
We will pray for all of you for comfort and peace as only the Lord can give.
Love,
Harry and Gabrielle (GiGi)
