I had the privilege of having been a student for Mr. & Mrs. O'Dell at Cloverdale Jr. High. I also was able to attend Liberty Church with them on occasion. What we lost here on earth, Heaven has gained a wonderful person.

We have known Jerry for over 65 years and I lived across the street from him growing up. He and I were best of friends, reading books, fishing in a pond by our home, discussing our problems and sharing cookies and brownies. He was a wonderful blessing to my life and I will miss him and his wonderful memory that I took full advantage of when I could not think of someone who we grew up with in Mineral Springs or just a name popped up. I depended on Jerry to supply my answer.

May you rest in peace, my friend.............Louise & Denzil Mobbs

Bro. O'Dell was a fine Christian man, and it was a privilege for me to be his pastor at Liberty MBC. His whole family is special to me and my wife, Lynne.

I’m sorry to hear of the passing of this wonderful man. Reading his obituary, I can tell he was a worker and gave much of himself to others. Also, knowing his children, I know he was a very good father and Christian example.

My condolences to the O'Dell family. Mr. Odell was my eighth-grade science teacher and a very nice man. My best wishes to Mrs. O'Dell, Robin Ann and David.

He was a great Christian friend, faithful church member and a man who loved his family and his Lord. He also kept me in good suits during his years in men’s clothing stores. My sincere sympathy to all the family.
