Joseph Dominic Bernardi, 91, 0f Little Rock, AR went to be with the Lord on April 3, 2026.He was born on April 28, 1934, and graduated Catholic High School in 1952. He went on to serve in the Army and was stationed in Germany. He served from1957-1959 with an honorable discharge. He is certified in HVAC and plumbing and eventually opened his own business through which he helped countless people in need. He had a very long run with the oldest plumbing license in Arkansas, a fact that he was very proud of. He married the love of his life on June 23, 1967, and immediately started their family after a long engagement.
Joe worked hard his whole life to be able to take care of his family and be able to help those who needed it. There were many people who loved and appreciated him and he will be missed. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman, so much so, sometimes work would have to wait! He only took one vacation every year and it was opening week of deer season, and he went to Monticello to hunt. He loved to be in the woods searching for that big buck or on the water calling the ducks. He was one of the best duck callers in the state and many wanted to make sure he was on the hunt with them. He also loved going to the rivers and lakes with his fishing buddies. He had many over the years that have passed on before him. He really enjoyed his time on the water and in the woods with all the people who have been on those trips with him. He also loved to laugh and many times you would find him doing things that would be entertaining to himself and others as well. Most of all, he loved Jesus and his family along with his extended family members of which he had many. He wasn’t one to always say it, but you knew his love through his actions. He was the best Dad and friend anyone could ask for and it was a privilege to have him in your life.
