Joyce Pyland, 84 passed away in Little Rock on November 18, 2017. She was born on August 27, 1933 to Earl and Luona Garrett in Emmet, AR. Joyce received her RN degree in 1954 from St. Vincent Infirmary. She worked 31 years at Baptist Health in Little Rock. She enjoyed butterflies, cooking, gardening, fishing, reading, playing solitaire and skipbo. She enjoyed going to Tunica with her friends, reading her Bible, watching the birds and chipmunks in her yard, and her dog Tilley. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Bobbie Kaigler, and son Steve Pyland. Survivors include three sons, Wayne (Allen) of Little Rock, Bruce (Pam) of Fort Smith, and John (Deb) of White Hall, and grandchildren, Laura Warren, David, Derek, Haley, and Evan Pyland, and Madeline Harvey. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth: 5800 W 12th Street, Little Rock.
