Larry Marvin Hinerman, 85, of Little Rock, peacefully passed away on November 7, 2024, leaving behind a lasting legacy of love, laughter, and community spirit. Born on December 17, 1938, in the small town of Livonia, Missouri, Larry was the cherished son of the late Edward Hinerman and Alice Selby. Tragically, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda “Rosebud” Hinerman, whose unwavering love and companionship brought warmth and joy to his life; his son, Duke Lane Hinerman; as well as three brothers and two sisters, all of whom hold a special place in his heart.
Larry's professional journey began at Teletype Corp, where he devoted an impressive 30 years of his life. As a dedicated employee, he worked diligently and built lasting relationships with his colleagues before enjoying a well-earned retirement. He took great pride in his role as a husband, father, and grandfather, often reflecting on the joyful moments spent coaching his children in Little League, where he instilled in them the values of teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.
A passionate fan of the University of Arkansas Razorbacks, Larry’s enthusiasm for sports was infectious, and he looked forward to every game with undeniable excitement. His love for the thrill of racing led him to Oaklawn Racing, where he spent countless hours soaking up the atmosphere, placing bets, and enjoying the camaraderie of fellow racing enthusiasts during his cherished weekly visits.
Beyond sports, Larry found immense pleasure in a variety of leisure activities. He was an avid bowler, often participating in local leagues, and enjoyed spending time on the golf course, where he honed his skills and shared laughter with friends. Music was another passion, and Larry delighted in playing the piano alongside Linda, creating beautiful melodies that filled their home and hearts with joy.
Larry was warmly regarded as the "Patriarch of the Riverdale neighborhood," becoming a beloved and familiar sight in his community. He embraced daily walks around the neighborhood, greeting friends and neighbors with his signature smile and friendly banter. His deck was a haven for relaxation, where he often enjoyed the warmth of the sun while sipping coffee and watching the world go by. Larry’s larger-than-life personality, sharp sense of humor, and ability to find joy in the little things made him a beloved figure who enriched the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
