My condolences to your family.
I was a student of Mrs. Bratcher's at Terry Elementary in Little Rock in the early 1980's. As an educator of young and impressionable children, she always held us to the highest standards and instilled a strong work ethic.
She will be missed.

I am a first cousin to Lucille and saw her obituary in the newspaper. I am sorry she passed away. I am 92 now but have fond memories where I saw her often at our grandparents home in Okolona, Arkansas. My mother was her mother's sister. A Shackleford of course. Last time Dorothy and I saw her in North Little Rock was at her home. God Bless all of you. Rodney Cook

I am so sorry for your loss.

I had Mrs. Bratcher in 3rd grade at Terry Elementary school. I remember being so impressed by her story about how she lost her ring finger pulling down a map or screen or something, and for the rest of my life I have always been careful with blinds and things because of that! Nothing but fond memories of having her as my teacher.
