What a sweet little lady. I always enjoyed visiting with her when she would walk by my house when I lived across Van Buren from her. And it was a privilege to help her last fall when she needed some legal work done. I always thought it was interesting that my neighbor and I along with Pat and Becky had common links. It is indeed a small world.
My sympathy is, of course, with the family. But it is tempered by the certain knowledge that hers was a long full life well lived. Rest in peace Mary. May perpetual light shine upon you and Pat.

Ruth,
I can only imagine what a kind, thoughtful, loving person your mother must have been in order to raise a daughter like you!
May the memories of your love for one another sustain you in the years to come.

I am friends with Ruth and met her mom just a couple of times at her house . I was instantly drawn to her warmth and her love for her children . She was so gracious and sweet that I felt right “at home” talking to her and visiting . Such a precious soul and great sense of humor ... just like Ruth . I’m so glad she had such a loving and long life to spend with her family. She will be missed greatly but ohhhhhh...such wonderful and beautiful memories she left for her children to relish .

Mom was a wonderful person at times she was strict but with six children that is to be expected especially since the oldest daughter and first child was at times a handful that is me
I love her very much and would like to get there but God is laughing at my plans by sending this Arctic Plunge and we will have four or five days were we aren’t getting above freezing which makes driving in central Texas a no go

So very sorry for your loss. I remember many happy times spent at your house in Marianna back in the day. No matter how old we are, the loss of our mother shakes us to the bone. Speaking from experience, it is a long journey, but it is survivable.
