She received her Master's Degree in Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis, MO. She retired from the State of Arkansas as a Social Worker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Tomlin. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Self and brothers, John (Buddy) Schmidt and William Schmidt. She is survived by her very special niece, Laura Franklin and special friends, Madge Helm and Judy Whitson. She is also survived by seven more nieces and four nephews as well as great nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of friends. She is also survived by a step-daughter, Janet Tomlin, four step- grandchildren and five step-great grandchildren.
