Mary Vaught of Little Rock was born in Russell, Arkansas on January 13, 1929 to the late Samuel Gilbert and Nellie Dobbs Gilbert. She passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband D.J. Vaught, brother Bobby Pugh and son Garry Vaught.
She is survived by her daughter, Denise Lewis ( Michael) of Edgewater, Florida, her sister Betty Jean Atkinson of Florida and her grandchildren Jeffery Davis, Gregory Davis, Randal Vaught, Ryan Vaught and her great grandchildren Nate Davis and Ariana Vaught; Also a daughter In-Law Debra Vaught Bright.
She was a member of St. James United Methodist Church in Little Rock. She and her husband D.J. were owners of Vaught’s IGA on Asher in Little Rock. She enjoyed traveling and taking many trips and cruises.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 2:15 pm at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander.
