My favorite thing about Big Mammie was when ever Alena and I came over to visit she would always have food waiting for us. She was so selfless. No matter if she was having a hard day.... she always made sure her grandkids were taken care of. I remember spending the night over there a couple nights and even then, the popcorn and sodas were ready to go! I love you Big Mammie. You will live with me always .

Thanks for sharing all the photos, I hadn’t seen some of the older ones. I’ll always remember the way her house smelled so good and when we went to Kentucky, Aunt Margaret’s house smelled the same! Lots of good memories in that old house. I always was scared of that dog, Dutchess, that had the home under the back porch. It’s changed a lot in that old neighborhood.

Granddaddy has been waiting for her a long time and now they are together again. I miss them both so much. Love to all of you back home.
