Married to her husband of 66 years, Ernest Lee Gardner, Myrt and Ernie were continually active in their church and community of Martindale. Besides being a renowned cook of anything caught or killed, Myrtle also never forgot to remind us that she was a nurse. She put herself through nursing school at St. Vincent’s and then worked most of her career at the Baptist Medical Center. Surely most will agree that she left a mark.
In lieu of flowers, please honor her by donating to Martindale Baptist Church for the purpose of helping those in need in the community.
