Patricia Glynn Thompson, 88, died in Dallas, TX on March 24, 2020 surrounded by her loving children. She was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by her daughter, Leslie McGinn (George), her daughter, Susan (Steve), and her son, Tommy (Susan); grandchildren - Patrick McGinn (Anne), Brennan McGinn (Hailey), and John Michael McGinn; Allyson Jensen (Chris), Doug McNabb, and Jeff McNabb; and Ava Thompson; and great granddaughter Isla Travis-McGinn. She lives on in the hearts of her sister, Jane Caulfield, and her nieces, Cindy Craven (Will) and Kim Caulfield. She was preceded in death by her father, Glen MacKenzie Holmes; her mother, Lucille Hardgrave Holmes; and her sister, Caroline Lucille Holmes.
Patricia Holmes Thompson graduated from Little Rock High School in 1949. She attended Southern Methodist University and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology from the College of Health Related Professions as the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 1955.
Patricia was a loving mother, an inspiring teacher to all of her students ranging from her 8th grade science students to her medical technology students, “a second mother” to the members of Girl Scout Troop 19 and friends of her children, a committed community volunteer, and an avid gardener.
A private graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2020. A memorial service will be held in Texarkana, TX at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Domestic Violence Prevention, Inc., 424 Spruce Street, Texarkana, TX, 75501.
