Paul W. Spencer

Paul W. Spencer of Scott, Arkansas (formerly of Steubenville Ohio), passed from this life on June 30, 2016. He was born in Jefferson County, Ohio, on April 23rd, 1938. Paul was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked as a mechanic for over 40 years and loved to restore rusty antique tractors to their original splendor. Paul moved to Scott, Arkansas in 2004 to be near his family where he enjoyed a quiet life on the family pecan farm. It was in this surrounding that "Pap Pap" enjoyed spending time with his four grandchildren, and tinkering with his antique farm machinery. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Mary, Alice his sister, and brother, Robert. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Rebecca and James Cargile of Little Rock, a son and daughter-in-law Paul J.and Stephanie Woell Spencer - of Scott, and grandchildren Sophie Cargile, and Paul, Ralph, and Isaac Spencer. There will be a private burial at Pine Crest Memorial Park in Alexander, Arkansas. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
