Peggy met the love of her life at the age of 17, Everette Bene. They had 72 wonderful and exciting years together of enjoying life. They enjoyed entertaining friends and family at home or the lake house at Lake Norrell. They found pure joy watching people, especially children enjoying life. They loved to water ski, roller skate, ice skating (dancing on both) , and bowling. They were always available for fun. They attended South Highland Baptist church in Little Rock, as faithful members. Peggy taught Sunday School to many children, she loved them all. All that knew her were loved as family. Peggy loved entertaining anywhere she was.
She worked at Southwestern Bell Telephone for 40 years, after retirement she stayed busy helping or cooking for others. Her fried pies and peanut better pie were the BEST! She and Everette went on many missionary trips and loved to share the stories. She also enjoyed dressing up and singing at nursing homes, it brought her much joy.
Preceded in death by her parents, W. W. “Bill ““and Lela (Darter) Mullins, four brothers and one sister. She is survived by her loving husband, Everette L. Bene and numerous nieces and (favorite) nephews and friends, she loved all dearly.
We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to Superior Nursing and Rehab in Conway for the care and love given to Peggy.
