Mrs. Dobbins and her family immigrated from Poland, surviving Nazi work camps during World War II and settled in Sheridan Arkansas thanks to Catholic Relief Services and the Mark Skorcz Family. Regina and her family did farm work to earn money to move to Little Rock. At Little Rock Central High School, she was student body Vice-President graduating in 1957. She was fluent in five languages and was recruited as a hostess at U.N. Headquarters in New York. She eventually attended Lindenwood College in St. Charles, MO. Regina's life exemplified service first as a Red Cross volunteer where she found a mentor in Willie Oates. Later, she taught physical education classes at Holy Souls School. She would eventually volunteer for Catholic Relief Services settling Polish refugees who came to the United States after the Soviet Crackdown in 1983. She worked in retail for many years first for Jimmy Karam and finally at Vivian Pierce Chidren's and Maternity Clothing at Park Plaza. She was a retiree from the Arkansas Worker's Compensation Commission where she spent 15 years working as a File Claims Examiner. Regina met Neil, the love of her life, on a double date and they married in 1959. It was a long and happy union resulting in two sons and two grandsons. Regina's favorite past time was spoiling her grandsons Andrew and Brandon and cheering on the Arkansas Razorbacks. She will be tremendously missed by all of her family and many friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Laura Otter and Dr. Kevin Heifner for their care along with the staff at Fresinius Medical Care, the ICU at CHI St. Vincent Infiirmary, the nurses on Three North, especially William, the great care she received from the loving care givers from SeniorKare and special friend and caregiver Marian Hart.
