He was a salesman of veterinarian supplies for over 30 years. He won countless sales awards throughout his career. He grew up on a farm in Forrest City, AR so caring for animals of all kinds was in his blood. He was particularly fond of his cows, of which he had many. He got a kick out of watching Anna feed them out of her hands.
He was happiest and the proudest when he was sharing stories about being a United States Army Soldier. He was a proud member of the U.S. Army National Guard for 35 years. He proudly served his country and strived for excellence in his military career earning numerous awards and medals. He served in Operation Desert Storm as Commander of the 142nd Field Artillery Brigade. He was promoted to full Colonel before his retirement.
Special thanks to the amazing men and women at the VA Hospital Little Rock and the VA Little Rock Hospice care team that took such wonderful care of him. As well as his assisted living community at The Blake. They all made us feel like family.
We thank you for your service, Col. Ronald K. Danehower!
