Ryan was a very smart man and was going to college when he moved to Arkansas. He lived with his grandmother (Carol Stiles) that passed in October of 2014. He was taking care of her while he stayed here as he went to school and worked a night shift job. He went to ASU-Beebe for basics, Pulaski Tech for Diesel Mechanics and UALR for Business Management. He finished with a Bachelor’s degree and was proud of it. He took an intern job at Siemens Industry Inc. in Little Rock. He went from an intern to an actual full time employee. He worked for them for many years and had moved up to a small projects managers position.
Ryan was 21 years old when he met Chasidie (his wife) through his best friend Matt Hunt. They didn't think things would go further than just two friends going to a high school prom at the time. As they got to know each other, things started to change. Ryan asked her out and from then on things bloomed and they fell in love. They dated for about 8 or 9 years before he asked her to marry him. As that year went on and planning the wedding, they tied the knot on October 11th, 2014. Ryan was a wonderful husband and great friend to many and would give the shirt off his back if he could.
In 2016, Ryan found out that he was going to become a father. He wasn't one who wanted kids but as it was getting closer for him to meet his baby boy; he was so happy that he was going to be a dad. He was an amazing father to his handsome son John and loved that boy. John was his whole world and he was the same to John.
Ryan was one for music and knew a lot about different genres and knew how to play three different kinds of instruments. He mainly played guitar but could also play the bass guitar and the piano. He would play his guitar for his friends and family but would love to play it for Chasidie the most. When their son John was born, he would play the guitar a little for their son until he got a little older and then he would let John run his hands over the strings to make noise on his own. He hoped that John would love music as much as he did and hoped one day that he could show him how to play the guitar.
He was a very well loved young man, born August 13th, 1986, his mother Michelle Nichols, step father Don Nichols, real father Michael Stockweather, and step mother Julie Stockweather loved him very much; he is also survived by grandmothers, Marcia Stockweather and Margaret Nichols. He had one sister (Amanda Nichols) that had a son and daughter, one brother (Jeff Nichols) that had a daughter and a son, many aunts and uncles on both sides of the family and many cousins as well that loved and adored him.
Ryan made sure that his family was taken care of and very well loved before he left this world. He wanted to let everyone know that he loved them and knows that one day they will all meet again. Ryan and Chasidie hoped to be able to send their little boy to a good college when he gets older and hopes that John has a wonderful child hood. If anyone wants to make a donation for John in Ryan's Honor, you may send a donation to their home or give it to the family in person. Ryan worried about if they would be okay if something happened to him before he could see his son grow up to be a man and get married and have kids of him own. Ryan will be greatly missed as he was taken from us too soon.
A memorial service celebrating the life of Ryan will be held at 1:00pm, Sunday, September 9, 2018, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 15202 Sylvan Hill, Jacksonville, Arkansas.
