I've known Willie since I was 12-years-old and only have countless wonderful memories of him! We attended church in Beebe together, and his daughter Monica and I have long been best friends. I'm sure it probably wasn't easy for him to tolerate my excessive chattiness and giggling as Mony and I spent time together during our childhood and college years, but he did so and always welcomed me into his home. He was a man of few words (at least around me), so I truly cherished those he shared with me. Willie's sweet smile and kind ways will be remembered fondly forever. He had to be awesome to be the father of my best friend and to have earned her unconditional love and utter adoration. My heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with each of his family members and loved ones who miss him greatly. May they find peace and comfort in their happy memories of Willie. How blessed we are to have known and loved him! With sympathy and love, Lisa Morris

This memory is from my 88 year old Father, Mark Bryles of Blytheville, Arkansas:

“Willie Drew and I were members of the same class at Beebe High School. I well remember the Fall of 1948 or ‘49 when he transferred into the school and earned a starting position on the Senior Boys’ Basketball Team. That impressed me. He was an excellent player and really helped the team. I’ve thought of Willie Drew many times over the past 70+ years. I only remember visiting with him once since graduating in 1950. That was at a class reunion in Beebe. So sorry to learn of his passing.”

Bro. Quattlebaum will be greatly missed. He was a wonderful Christian person who held high values and work ethics. He loved his Lord and wanted everyone else to enjoy the pleasures of being one of His children. May God Bless his family at this time.

Rest in peace with the Lord as we await His Second Return.
