Joe, you are forever in our hearts. We cherish each moment we spent in your presence. One of my favorite memories was when you and Joan opened your home to my husband, me and friends for an irioning party for our wedding linens.  We had so much fun filling all of the rooms of your home and ironing away..and as we finished up and were ready to leave, you sang...you filled our ears and hearts with music that will forever be engrained within us. You truly did make me and my family feel like we were welcomed...fell like we were home. Those left here are deeply saddened that you are no longer here with us.  Joe you are loved beyond measure and you loved beyond measure. Rest well. We love you Team Bishop

Poppa Joe lives on in all our hearts!  Now, he is a bright star in a heavenly constellation. When I think of him, I think of his grin from ear to ear!  What a smile!  He was blessed with a caring family he was proud of and his life was well lived.  He will be missed!  Joy Poole

I was blessed to meet Grandpa a few times over the past years. I learned more about Grandma and Grandpa Joe from the many stories Miles shared with me. He lived a wonderful and full life and is loved by so many. Grandpa helped shape my friend into the man he is today, and for that I am eternally grateful. Grandpa was a wonderful man with a beautiful heart and will be dearly missed.

Susan & Family, I extend to you my love. I pray the beauty of your dad's life will shine through the love you all share at this time.  Praying that God's Peace & Comfort gives you what you need now & for time ahead.

I am so sorry for your loss. Your Grandpa was a super sweet man. I remember him and your grandma walking you guys to school every morning...to the Primary, of course.

As a neighbor in Roxborough, I meet Joe 20+ years ago.  Sometimes you can tell within minutes of meeting someone they are kind. The photo gallery is a tribute to his full life.

So sorry to hear of Joe's passing. I grew up and went to school with Mike and Sue and knew he was an excellent father and husband. We will miss him and to the family please remember the good times you enjoyed with Joe and the positive influence he had on his children, I knew he raised you to be strong, kind and considerate people.
