Alejandrina Ortiz

Services will be conducted from the LaMonica Memorial Home 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., Livingston on Tuesday, September 8, at 8:30 am, followed by the Funeral Mass at Notre Dame of Mount Carmel church in Cedar Knolls at 10 am. Interment is in Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington. Visitation is on Monday from 3-7 pm.

Born in Cayey, Puerto Rico, Lolita came to Newark in 1953 where she remained.

She worked as a dental assistant in Puerto Rico. After coming to Newark she worked in the offices of Lucien Piccard in Newark and was a supervisor for Eagle Affiliated Corp in Harrison before retiring.

She was predeceased by her husband Juan E. Ortiz Castro and her siblings, Isabell Rivera, Diego Soto Rivera, Eugene Soto Rivera, Justiniano Soto Rivera, and Jacob Soto Rivera.

She is survived by her children Alejita Maria Ortiz, Agnes Ortiz Eng, and John Ortiz Jr., grandchildren Natalie and Daniel Eng, and Cecelia, John Alexander, and John Aaron Ortiz, and 2 great grandchildren.
