

Allen Jay Glenn, 87, passed away on August 24, 2026. Born on April 23, 1939, in Far Rockaway, Queens, Allen built a life marked by steady purpose, quiet strength, and deep devotion to those he loved. A resident of Livingston, New Jersey, Allen will be remembered with enduring respect and gratitude by all who knew him.
From his earliest years, Allen carried a disciplined mind and a practical intelligence that served him well throughout a lifetime of work and family. He earned his Bachlor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Bucknell University in Pennsylvania, laying a foundation for a career defined by skill, diligence, and responsibility.
Allen owned and operated Glenn Electric and also was a home builder. In both pursuits, he brought care and precision to what he created, taking pride in work done properly and in the lasting value it provided.
Allen raised his family in West Orange and Short Hills before moving to Florida later in life. He was the beloved husband of Marlene for over 60 years, and together they built a home grounded in commitment and enduring love. He was a loving father of Mindy Eisenbud (Gary), Andrew Glenn (Jodi), and Paul Glenn (David), and a devoted grandfather of Sarah Glenn, Jessica Eisenbud (Michael Friedlander), and Jeffrey. He was also the cherished brother of Martin (Andrea).
A Graveside Service will be held at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, 189 Gill Ln, Woodbridge Township, NJ 08830, US, on August 26, 2026, at 11:00 am
Allen’s legacy lives on in the family he loved, the work he built with his hands and mind, and the many lives strengthened by his steadfast example.
