Angelina “Angie” Acocella, 88, of Livingston, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2019.
Angelina was born and raised in Montclair to Vincenzo and Manuela Franciosi of the Province di Avelino, Italy.
She settled in Bloomfield and raised her family before moving to Livingston in 1987.
She worked at AIG in Parsippany for 15 years retiring in 1997.
Angie had a wonderful spirit and was always looking to have a good time. The matriarch of her family, she enjoyed hosting holidays, cooking, baking, and spending time with family. She was loved by all.
Angelina was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Joseph N. Acocella, her parents, and her beloved sisters Anna McKim, Lena Alvino, and Rose Barbieri.
She is survived by her daughters Mary Rose Miscia and husband Robert, Mildred Melchione and husband Rocco, and Joanne Acocella, grandchildren, Robert Miscia and wife Patti, Cara Rychecky and husband Rick, Joseph Melchione and wife Angela, and Kristen Melchione, and great grandchildren, Lucy, Violet, and Joseph.
Visitation is being held at the LaMonica Memorial Home 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Avenue, Livingston, on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 from 4-8 pm.
Services will commence at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at 9:30 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Raphael’s Church in Livingston at 10:30 am and the Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
