Ann L. D'Aries (nee Gaynor) a longtime West Orange resident, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 in Morristown Medical Center. She was 85 years old. Born and raised in Orange, N.J., Ann married Ralph D’Aries in 1956 and together they moved to West Orange in 1962. She was a graduate of Orange High School and attended Montclair State University. Ann worked for Canada Dry in Orange as Secretary to the Vice President of Operations. She would then go on to work for Llewellyn-Edison Savings Bank in West Orange. She retired from the Mortgage Department after 36 years of service.
Ann devoted much of her time to her children and grandchildren. She loved spending time at the Jersey Shore with her family and traveling with her husband. She was predeceased by her parents Mary (nee Marsh) and Luke C. Gaynor; her beloved husband Ralph D’Aries, who she shared 60 years with; her sisters Jean Marciliano, Marie Drury, Louise Gaynor, brothers Charles and Thomas Gaynor, and daughter-in-law Cheryl D’Aries. She is survived by her children; Ralph (Janice), Michael Sr., Lisa Cocciolillo, Angela, Joseph Sr. (Denise) and Kimberly Allonardo (Carmine). Cherished grandmother to Michael Jr., Jennifer Vernotica (Joseph), Christina, Anthony, Joseph Jr., Jessica, and Nicole D’Aries, Alexandra and Arianna Allonardo; great grandmother to Joseph Vernotica Jr.; and Dear sister-in-law Irma Gaynor.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 from 4 to 8 pm at the LaMonica Memorial Home, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave. in Livingston, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover, at 10 am or can be viewed virtually via livestream at https://saintroseoflimachurch.org/. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
