Dearest Simon & Family,
Losing a loved one is never easy. My thoughts are with you doing this difficult time. I will always remember Annett for her kindness, generosity, and especially her charisma.
I first met Annett & Simon nearly thirty years ago. I have had the pleasure of working with them on several retail design projects. In Annett, I saw a ravishing beauty with an incredible sense of style and presence.
Annett and I became fast friends, collaborating on design elements, color palettes, and material finishes. I have never met another with the color sensitivity that Annett processed. She enjoyed pushing me out of my comfort zone...and I will always cherish her for it.
When my daughter Sayre was born, Annett was so very kind and loving. She always remembered Sayre during the holidays with her kind generosity... and gentle encouragement from early childhood, well into Sayre’s teens.
I feel a great sense of loss with the passing of my friend Annett, but I also feel a sense of gratitude knowing that she will remain with me always.
With My Deepest Sympathy...Randahl Ramos

I enjoyed every time I had the opportunity to see and meet with Mrs. Kaplan. I know from visiting with her and our conversations she was a wonderful wife and life partner to Simon. My thoughts are with Simon and the family.

I never met Mrs. Kaplan face to face. And yet she was a beautiful, generous friend to my family and most especially to my daughter Sayre. Beginning with Sayre’s birth 15 years ago, Annett would remember Sayre with a gift every year. I was fortunate to exchange several emails with Annett over the years. She was interesting, interested and always lovely. I will miss you. Much love, from Oakland.
