Arthur Joel Lupatkin, husband of the late Adrienne (Gleit) Lupatkin z”l passed on September 18, 2023 in West Palm Beach, Florida. He is the son of Minnie and Eli Lupatkin z”l and brother of Gloria Seiger z”l.
Arthur is survived by his three daughters, Dr. Robin Solomon and son-in-law Neal Solomon, Tracy Schanzer and son-in-law Eric Hartman, Cindy Campbell, and partner Dave Havens, and his grandchildren Fox and Lane Schanzer. Arthur also leaves behind his beloved nephew, Dr. Ken Brodsky, his wife Jane Brodsky, and their children Andrew, Georgia, Fiona, and Timothy.
Arthur was born in “Da Bronx, New York” in the Winter of 1935. He longed to go to college but enlisted in the army after high school, where he was stationed in Germany as a radar operator during the Korean War. After his marriage to Adrienne, he became a salesman, owning several of his own companies. He later started managing large-scale trade shows and was Group Show Director at Miller Freeman, Inc. Together Arthur and Adrienne lived in Colonia, NJ, and Smithtown, NY, and later retired to Florida.
Arthur was fond of jazz music, and old movies. He was a lifelong athlete, playing handball, racquetball, and riding his bike well into his eighties. He was fond of watching tennis, and football games and following politics. He was a stubborn man with a hidden sentimentality and an ability to turn on the charm at will. He is currently residing in heaven giving someone up there a hard time.
Burial service to take place at Riverside Cemetery in Saddle River, NJ on Sunday, October 1st at 10 AM.
