The Funeral service will be offered on Thursday, December 5, in the Ss Nicholas, Constantine, & Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Roseland at 12 pm, followed by the interment at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the LaMonica Memorial Home 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave. Livingston.
Born in Newark, Athanasia lived most of her life in Bloomfield. She was employed as the Office Manager in the Admissions Dept. of Caldwell College for 27 years retiring in 2006.
She was the beloved wife of the late John J. Montano, loving mother of Tia Montano, Nick Montano, and Anthony Montano and his wife Stephanie, dear sister of Calliope Haracopos and Nichola Stamates, and cherished grandmother of Morgan, Justine, Harley, Jagger, and Sophia.
