Audrey Bartner passed away peacefully at home on June 15, 2026. Audrey was born on June 24, 1934 and lived in Verona, NJ. She was married to Martin Bartner, the former publisher of the Star-Ledger, who passed away in 1999.
Audrey was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She was an accomplished artist and philanthropist, a member of the board of The Papermill Playhouse and the NJ Performing Arts Center.
Audrey is survived by her two children and daughter and son in laws, three grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a sister.
A funeral service will be held at 10am on Thursday , June 18th at Temple B'nai Jeshurun, in Short Hills, NJ . The burial will follow at Beth David Memorial Park, Beth David Rd, Kenilworth, NJ 07033.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Papermill Playhouse or the NJ Performing Arts Center.
