Beryl E. McIntyre
May 6, 1915 – October 13, 2020
Former New Jersey and Florida resident Beryl E. McIntyre died at her son's West Orange, NJ home on Oct 13, 2020.
Mrs. McIntyre was born on May 6, 1915 in Clarendon, Jamaica to Janet McKay and Herbert Stewart. As the eldest child, she was often tasked with looking after her younger siblings instead of going to school. Nevertheless, she was able to become a skilled seamstress, an occupation she also enjoyed when she emigrated to London, England.
She met her husband, Joslyn McIntyre, in Jamaica and together they had 3 children.
After spending many years in the UK, Beryl and her husband emigrated again, this time to the US city of Miami, Florida with part of the attraction being that they could enjoy the same type of warm weather as their younger days in Jamaica. There they bought a home and enjoyed the sun filled lifestyle.
She was a devoted Seventh Day Adventist Christian who also enjoyed gardening and reading.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
She is survived by her children.
