Nutley Manor will not be the same without you, Carol. The Gang here feels very sad. ~~ Our sincere condolences go out to your sons, daughters-in-law, and your granddaughters. We already miss seeing them here, too. ~~ Rest in peace but do some dancing up there with your husband and old friends!
and the whole Nutley Manor Community

As a "lifer" at Lawyers Diary (like my colleague Maria), Caroline was a daily part of my life for 30 or so years; a surrogate part of my family. She was a tough but very sweet woman, who always took care of business at the office and always took a personal interest in my family. We'll truly miss her. My best wishes to her family.

My deepest condolences to Joe, George, Anthony and your families on the passing of your Mom. I was a witness and recipient of Mama Speer’s kindness and loving nature. In the many days I spent at 583 Belleville Ave in college and beyond, I was always greeted by a “Hi Honey” and “How’s your Grandma and your parents”. She always made us feel so welcome in her home and I have many good memories of her. God grant her eternal peace.

Mrs Speer was always a second mother to me... So much of my youth was spent at her kitchen table meeting a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Words cannot sufficiently express neither my love for her nor my grief for her passing...Cherished memories will last forever.

Carol you are one of a kind. You became a part of the Tavares family the day I came to work at lawyer's diary and manual. We worked together for 10 years but that was just the beginning of our friendship. You became a fixture in our home for the rest of your life. You watched my children grow into women from the day they were born. You brought joy, comedy and fun everytime you came over. Even though you and my father didn't speak the same language you still brought a smile to each others faces. I cannot thank you enough for being a part of my life as long as you were. Though we squabbled it was always done with love. You will always be in my heart and memories and will be missed! With all our love Maria, Tony, Delia, Andrea, Sara and your little sweetheart Samantha
