

She was a graduate of St. Vincent’s Academy and attended Seton Hall University. She worked at Prudential Insurance Company. Christine then became a wife and mother when she married Elliot Anelle in 1953 and had two beautiful children, Elliot Jr. and Barbara.
Christine was involved in many charities and was very active in her community. She was Past President of the Women’s Auxiliary of Columbus Hospital for more than 25 years. Christine was a member of the Colombian Foundation Ladies Auxiliary and Unico of the West Orange Chapter. She served on the Board of Community Advocates at St. Barnabas Hospital. Christine received awards for her generous, compassionate, and giving heart. In 1979, she was awarded Women of the Year in recognition of her outstanding service to Columbus Hospital and to her community from the John Crecco Foundation, for “Project Heartbeat.” In 1983, she received the Community Service award from the Newark Chapter of Unico National for her many years of dedication and outstanding community service.
Christine loved the arts, especially the theater and opera. She volunteered with Bonnie Brae Matinee Theater Group. Christine also served as a trustee of the New Jersey State Opera and The Boys Town of Italy. Christine was an avid bridge player, a world traveler, loved to dance, and enjoyed spending her summers at her beach home in Mantoloking with family and friends.
Christine was a parishioner of Saint Raphael’s Catholic Church, Livingston, New Jersey for more than 50 years.
Christine was predeceased by her devoted husband Elliot Anelle in 2004 and her loving son Elliot Anelle, Jr. in August 2024. Christine leaves behind her beloved daughter, Barbara Anelle. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kandace Miller-Rubin and Matt Rubin, Myles Miller and Stella Ma-Miller, and great grandchildren, Shayla Rubin, Maddox Rubin, and Hunter Miller. Christine was the fond sister of Terry Jones and an Aunt to many nieces and nephews and a dear friend to many.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Christine’s memory may be made to Saint Raphael’s Catholic Church, Livingston, New Jersey.
