Corinne Rhoda Wasserman, born on August 16, 1928 in Newark, New Jersey, to the late Lillian and Meyer Sebold, passed away on July 28, 2018 in Livingston, New Jersey. Corinne moved to Livingston in the early 50s with her late husband, Lee Wasserman.
An English major in undergraduate school, Corinne studied to be a librarian at the Rutgers graduate program in library science. She became the school librarian at the Sussex Avenue School in Morris Township, N.J. in 1965. Passionate about both books and children, she was perfectly suited for the work. Corinne loved literature and the arts in general, was a master gardener, and had a great interest in design.
She is survived by her daughter, Mona Kanin (and Mona's husband Henry Strozier) her son, Andrew Wasserman (and Andy's wife, Darlene Wasserman); and brother, Burton Sebold (Pat). She has 4 beloved grandchildren: Michael (Cindy), Rebecca, Matthew (Kristi) & Sara and 3 adored great-grandchildren (Sophia, Chloe & Emma).
Friends and family are welcome to attend the graveside service, officiated by Rabbi Faith Joy Dantowitz, on Tuesday, July 31 from 11:00 to 12:00 p.m. at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, 189 Gill Lane, Iselin, New Jersey, 08830. Bernheim Apter Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel is coordinating services.
