
David "Dave" Holder, 91, passed away on June 9, 2013 at his home in Boynton Beach, Fla. Mildred "Millie" Holder, his wife of 69 years, was by his side. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 12, at 11 a.m. at Bernheim Apter Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, 68 Old Short Hills Rd., Livingston, N.J. 07039. Burial will immediately follow the service at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, 189 Gill Ln., Iselin, N.J. 08830. Shiva will be held at the Weinstock residence on Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and at the Spielman resident on Thursday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County (www.hpbcf.org/make-a-gift). Dave was born on November 6, 1921 in Newark, NJ and graduated from Weequahic High School. He served in the US Air Force as a navigator during WW II after which he studied at Parsons The New School for Design and had a long and distinguished career as an interior decorator. Dave loved to sing and performed regularly at his club, Hunter's Run, in Fla. He also enjoyed tennis, being President of his neighborhood and spending time with his family. Dave was predeceased by his parents, Tina and Max Holder, and his sister, Miriam. In addition to his wife, Millie, he is survived by his daughters Joan (Howard) Spielman and Tina (Michael) Weinstock ; grandchildren Matthew (Shannon) Spielman , Suzanne (James) Klein, Jessica Weinstock, Amanda Spielman and Andrew Weinstock among other loving relatives. He will be deeply missed by his family and everyone whose lives he has touched.
