

Debra Natalie Span Cicchelli Lived in West Orange for many years, hospice volunteer Debra Natalie Span Cicchelli died on April 2, 2015, of late-onset Tay-Sachs disease, a progressive neurological condition, at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, N.J. A longtime resident of West Orange, N.J., she was 62 and lived at The Solana in Roseland. Ms. Cicchelli grew up in Millville, N.J., and graduated from Millville High School and Kean University. She worked as a children's librarian, then held a number of positions in financial services and in the West Orange public schools. She and her late husband, Ralph Cicchelli, also operated Eagle Tax Service. Ms. Cicchelli volunteered for many years with the Barnabas Health Hospice organization, which cared for her during her recent illness. She is survived by her son, Matthew Cicchelli of West Orange; her sister, Paula Span of Montclair, N.J., and cousins across the country. Burial at Restland Memorial Park will be private, but friends are welcomed to a memorial gathering at The Solana, 345 Eagle Rock Way, Roseland, on Sunday, April 12, at 1:30 p.m. Call Berhheim-Apter-Kretizman for further information.
