Born in Newark, NJ to Ida & Louis Dvorin, Donald graduated from Weequahic High School in 1950. He served in the US Navy where he was assigned to the Marine Corps as a corpsman. A graduate of UConn and New York Law, Donald had a long career with the City of Newark where he served as Assistant Corporation Counsel heading the Workmen’s Compensation section until retiring from the City in 2005. Donald was also of counsel to Pearl Levy & Cicalese until his retirement from law in 2017.
Donald is survived by his wife, Dorothy Goldberg, stepdaughters Dale Yelner, Susan Goldberg, Ellen Goldberg, step-granddaughter Lauren Yelner, cousins Sharey & Donald Slimowitz and their families.
