Doug’s presence shone as a light to us and to the world.
His constancy, humor, wonder, intelligence, optimism,
kindness, thoughtfulness, dedication, and love were a boon
to all of us who were fortunate enough to know him.
As you may know, he lived by these principles:
Always move forward, never retreat.
To be easily amused is a sign of great intelligence.
Remain hopeful, and keep doing good for the world.
