After losing his father at a young age, he grew up in Newark with his mother, Miriam Grotta, and his sister, Pat. He graduated from Weequahic High School and treasured his friendships and memories from his days there.
After college and two years in the army, he worked as a Manufacturer’s Rep in the electrical industry for Brazill Brothers & Associates. This company was his home away from home and extended family for 50 years.
He married Emily (Emy) Steinberg after snatching her from the cradle in 1959. They shared 63 years of marriage with good times and good friends, and best of all, their devoted family. He loved nothing more than his children Peter (and Terri) and Leslie (and Michael), and grandchildren Allie (and Michael), Alex and AJ. These people will hold him in their hearts forever.
