Elsa Baitler Sobo of Caldwell, NJ, passed away at the age of 99. A native New Yorker who loved the City, she was predeceased by her parents Simon and Annie (Shapiro) Baitler, her husband David E. Sobo, daughter-in-law Carol Sobo, and brothers Herbert and Lester Baitler.
She was an extraordinarily loving and dedicated mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children Joel, Simon and Ronnie as she put it, “her $3 million dollars,” eight grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all.
Elsa was an executive secretary at Pfizer in its corporate office. She was a proud member of Hadassah, serving as president of the Irvington chapter and, in her later years, as an active member in Caldwell.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at 11:30 am, at New Montefiore Cemetery, Farmingdale, Long Island Arrangements under the direction of Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston, NJ. Contributions to Hadassah are welcomed in Elsa's memory.
