He was born in Newark, NJ. Frank graduated from NYU with a degree in accounting. He was a lieutenant in the Navy during World War II and was stationed in Seattle. After spending some time as an accountant, he joined the family business, Davis White Company, a wholesale meat and poultry company founded by his father in 1906. He and his brother built a successful business. He and his wife, Helen Kabacoff Davis, raised their family in South Orange where he lived until he died.
He was predeceased by his wife and leaves behind three daughters, Marilyn Rosenfarb and her husband Sam Rosenfarb, Nancy Forman and Carol Davis-Grossman and her husband, Stephen Grossman, 8 grandchildren, Andy Rosenfarb, Mark Sher, Ron Rosenfarb, Noah Rosenfarb, Todd Forman, Jamie Libby, Genna Grossman, Marissa Grossman and 11 great grandchildren.
