Born in the Bronx, New York, Fred was raised in Eastchester, NY. In 1985, he and Ellen moved to Maplewood, NJ, where they raised their family. After many happy years there, the family relocated to Poway, CA in 2001, before returning to New Jersey in 2004 and settling in South Orange.
Fred cherished time spent with family and friends and was a lifelong fan of New York sports teams, including the Yankees, Giants, Knicks, and Rangers. A graduate of Georgetown University, Fred built a successful career as a marketing executive, working on well-known household brands such as WD-40, 2000 Flushes, and X-14.
After courageously living with Parkinson’s disease for 13 years, Fred passed away due to complications related to the illness and a recent hip fracture.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Fred’s memory to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
May his memory be a blessing.
