He is survived by his devoted wife, Natalie, his children David and Andrew, and their respective wives Charlotte (Strauss) and Julie (Bachelor) as well as his 5 grandchildren, Scott, James, Whitney, Benjamin, and Eloise.
Fred was a graduate of the Bronx High School of Science, Columbia College and New York University School of Medicine. He was an attending physician at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ for 44 years. In addition to being passionate about medicine, he was passionate about dance and was the orthopaedic consultant to the New Jersey Ballet for many years. He was also a talented stone sculptor.
Fred will be remembered as a well-respected doctor to his many long time and grateful patients, as well as a fine and patient teacher to medical students and orthopaedic residents from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ.
A funeral service for Fred will be held Sunday, September 22, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, 68 Old Short Hills Road, Livingston, NJ 07039. Following the funeral service will be a burial at Cedar Park and Beth El Cemeteries, 735 Forest Ave, Paramus, NJ 07652.
