Gerald Donald Baker, 84, of Brookside, NJ for 55 years, passed away at Morristown Medical Center surrounded by his family. After graduating from Seton Hall University with a Bachelor of Science, he joined the US Army where he served in the Korean Conflict until his release as a 1st Lieutenant. He then went on to become a long time accountant in Boonton, NJ running his own business, Baker & Company. Mr. Baker was a member of the Freemasons in Morristown, NJ, was a train hobbyist and model builder for many years, and had a deep love for cars. He was the beloved husband for 63 years of Joan Baker, loving mother of Jill Israel (David), Jeffrey Baker, and Eric Baker (Bonnie Kintzer), devoted grandfather of Robert Baker, Circe Trostle, Jared Israel, Jody Israel, Adam Baker, and Anna Baker. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Temple B’nai Or, 60 Overlook Rd., Morristown, NJ. Donations may be made in his memory to The American Lung Association or to Morristown Medical Center.
