Absolutely the mozt compassionate, graciois and gallant doctor God created. The original sexy McDreamy. I have never met before or since a more caring AND competent doctor. He helped me negotiate coming into womanhood without shame and was always sensitive to all of my issues, my infertility, my eventual Conceiving, my surgeries--all. I just learned today of the passing of the wonderful Dr that delivered me and went on to become my GYN! He always joked and told everyone he delivered me when he was 12! He was kind and gracious with a great bedside manner. All doctors should aspire to be like Gilbert Sugarman...I truly miss him.

Just found out today about your passing. You will truly be missed by the Duncan, Hendley and Wilburn families.  Again,  you were a modern day Marcus Welby. Rest in peace.

I worked with your dad for many years at Overlook Hospital.  He also delivered my 3rd child.  He was a gentleman, kind and always had a smile.  My prayers are with you & your family.

I just learned of your dad's passing today and so sorry to hear of his death. He was a friend and also delivered two of my children, Jill and Beth Kaufman 48 and 50 years ago.  I loved the names and used them for my own children.

My mother always spoke highly of Dr. Sugarman who delivered me and my 3 siblings in the 60's  My condolences to his family.

Gil was not only a wonderful doctor who delivered all our children, but he was a good friend and a true "mensh".  The world he influenced will miss him.  Isabelle and Nathan Himelstein, Livingston, N.J.
