Mrs. Gladys Bruckner, 100, of West Orange, N.J., died Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, at home. Graveside service is Wednesday, Sept. 19, at 1 p.m. in the Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge, N.J., with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman. Born in Manhattan, Gladys married Julius in 1938 and then lived in Newark, N.J., and Maplewood, N.J., before moving to West Orange. Long affiliated with Temple B'nai Abraham in Livingston, N.J., she was also closely associated with many charitable organizations, some of which included Hadassah, The Simon Wiesenthal Center and the Jewish Guild for the Blind. She was an avid traveler who saw much of the world as well as being a very gifted and well respected sculptress. Predeceased by her husband, Julius, and her two sons, Steven and Allan, she is survived by a large family which includes her two nieces, Esther Schwartz and Mimi Nelson, two nephews, Barry Bruckner and David Bruckner, and three grandchildren.
