 When Harvey finished cutting his lawyer teeth at the IRS he was mentored by the most prominent Essex County tax lawyer who was himself a client of my father.  They decided that we should buddy up! We did and it lasted through earlier this month.  Harvey was a go getter and his early practice was unusually prominent with many sophisticated falsely accused criminally charged citizens.  Harvey’s work was sophisticated and distinguished.  He put aside ,as a good lawyer must,any criticisms from the peanut galleries of life and did not get bogged down in any unwarranted recriminations leveled at his doorsteps.  As must be,the clients come first and Harvey never bottomed to his prime duty to them!
  Socially Harvey was affable and well versed in the social graces. He looked after brother Donnie as he did for Harvey.  I never learned of any unkind events between them.  There was always familial cross support.  It was enjoyable for me to see.  When I divorced them they each intimately worried and consulted for the benefit of the other and supported each other in every way.  They enjoyed true brotherly love. 
  We stayed in touch and continued our dialogues of life throughout the last fifty years as though we had just spoken yesterday.  Harvey was always responsive. Many people stay in touch with their divorce lawyer and express their understanding of where life brought them. I keenly knew of Harvey’s feelings of disappointment in his first marriages.  I knew of his true fondness for each of his children. I knew when Harvey last married long ago that he had found life contentment and he knew that he had reached the mountaintop of married life. He knew it too and was not shy about it. Harvey was a complex individual and yet he projected to the outside non family friends a person of simplicity which was his public persona. In reality he was self made as to his many talents and his personality will be sadly missed by his actual friends and family as well it should be.  

I just learned about Harvey.
So so sorry.
He is a good man.

Amy and I just found out yesterday!  Our sincere condolences.  He was a good guy and we know how you will miss him so.  May Harvey rest in peace and you find comfort in the years of memories you have had with him.

Sorry to hear of the tragic loss of Harvey.  Always an incredible smile and a very infectious laugh.  Tremendous ball player and  loyal friend.  I will remember him fondly from  my sophomore year and the afternoon practices with coach Murray and our fellow team mates.  Rest in Peace....

Harvey and I grew up together as next door neighbors and school mates. We shared fun times playing pick-up sports until Harvey moved  up to varsity level basketball.  I moved up to the stands to watch and applaud Harvey and our amazing  Mountain HS team  win a state championship in 1962.  58 years later, 3,000 miles away,  these fond memories are bright and shining.  You will be missed.  

We always had a great time, vacationing, playing tennis,dinners, i will miss your laugh, RIP my friend

I have so many wonderful memories of Harvey from Mountain High School. He was always so full of life. I’ll miss seeing him around town, especially bumping into him and Bonnie at Neros ! My sincere condolences to his family.

I join in the sweet sentiments Ava has already provided.  All three of us grew up together in the same friendly Pleasant Ridge neighborhood and were classmates at St Cloud School, Lincoln Junior HS, and Mountain HS.  Harvey's mother Esther was our Cub Scout Den Mother.  Harvey was a gifted athlete, being one of the star players on the 1962 undefeated State Champion Mountain HS basketball team, as well as a talented golfer.  I had the great fortune of reuniting with him more recently when he and his delightful wife Bonnie moved to the Polo Club in Boca Raton.  His special ray of sunshine will be missed.  Rest in peace, good buddy.

Harvey was a wonderful guy, smiling and always jovial.  Will miss seeing him. 

While Harvey and I were friends at St. Cloud school and I danced at his Bar Mitzvah we went back longer than that. We were both born at the Beth in July and were together in the nursery. When I told him this he remarked that I made too much noise and he had trouble sleeping then. Rest with the angels my friend. Your memory will be a blessing.
