Herman Neugroschel, 91, of Delray Beach, Fl. formerly of Livingston, N.J. passed away on May 2, 2013. He was the husband of Miriam (Wachter), and the loving father of Randy, husband of Esta and daughter, Ellice, wife of Richard Gunter. He was predeceased by a son, Bart. Herman was a special grandpa to Sara and Bari, and PopPop to Justin, Brooke and Jake.
Herman was a Holocaust survivor, having left his mother, sisters and youngest brother in Poland and with his father along with 3 other brothers spent 9 years in siberia avoiding conscription into the Russian army. Herman immigrated to the U.S. in 1949 as a baker, shortly thereafter became a kosher butcher and worked as a butcher until the age of 85. He led a long and adventurous life and will be sadly missed by those who loved him.
Services will be on Sunday, May 5th at 12:45 pm at Bernheim Apter funeral home, 68 Old Short Hills Rd., Livingston, N.J. Burial following services at King Solomon cemetery in Clifton, N.J.
